Miami Police are investigating a shooting that took place near the Trump Beach Resort in the city on Sunday afternoon, during which at least one person was killed, and rapper NBA YoungBoy appears to have been a target.
The shooting, which took place on a busy street right outside the beachside hotel, involved multiple people — with several eyewitnesses saying it was YoungBoy’s entourage that was fired upon. Other sources at the scene are now reporting to TMZ that NBA YoungBoy was NOT injured in the shooting himself, but his girlfriend Kay Marie reportedly was struck with gunfire; police have not yet confirmed that.
Video of the immediate aftermath on social media shows the rapper appearing to talk with the police and some members of his entourage about what had happened, as cops and paramedics both surrounded the crew and worked on those who were wounded on the busy Miami street.
Here’s one social media video that captured the aftermath of the apparent violent act (below):
NBA Youngboy was shot at today while in his vehicle, the shooter was then chased down and killed by NBA Youngboy’s bodyguard
*NBA Youngboy is okay 🙏🏼
What we do know is that the police department in Aventura, Florida — a town over from where the shooting took place — is now investigating a second shooting in their jurisdiction this weekend that they believe may be related to what happened here outside the Trump Hotel by the beach.
Regardless, NBA YoungBoy had been in town to perform at the Rolling Loud Music Festival, which has already had its issues with trying to fill the lineup after some late scratches due to legal issues and then some… what a wild weekend down in Miami, y’all! No word yet on if YoungBoy will still perform tonight as scheduled, or if he’ll choose to duck out of the performance after the violent altercation.
